Linda Lou Giszewski (Emmons), age 74 of Comstock Park, MI left her worn out, earthly body and was made whole again as she entered the arms of Jesus peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, November 26th. Linda was preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband Michael Giszewski in 2018, and by both her parents and in-laws. Linda will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter & son-in-law, Michelle & Eric Ludge, her granddaughters, Amanda Ponstein (Brandon) and Allison Selner (Brady), her great-granddaughters, Raelynn Ponstein and Margo Selner, and her sister Kathy Verploegh (Michael) and extended family and friends. She and her husband were members of St Andrews Episcopal Church and attended regularly until health concerns made her unable to attend in person. Linda's faith was evident through her words and her actions, and she trusted God through trials, loss, and pain. She battled Multiple Sclerosis for 50 years, and while the disease took much from her, she continued to proclaim God's goodness and faithfulness. In all things, she gave praise to her Lord and Savior and counted her blessings.
Her greatest earthly love was for her husband, daughter, granddaughters, and great granddaughters. She loved her family and was so proud of each of them. She prayed for them and thanked God for them daily. She loved to tell people about her family and how much she loved them, and she never hesitated to tell her family how much she loved them. Linda met her husband at RC Allen where she was a secretary, and he was an engineer. They fell in love quickly, and got married on the 30th of July. When she became a mom, she stayed home mostly to take care of her daughter but was diagnosed with MS in her 20's. She worked for a season at Amway and later for Comstock Park High School as an aide. She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mom, grandma, neighbor, and friend. As Linda's health declined, her husband took care of her every need until he passed away unexpectedly just before they would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday November 30th 4PM at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, where the family will receive visitors one hour prior to the Service.
