Thanks, DeWitt, for remembering Crater and Smallegan. If memory serves me correctly, you, Crater, Cary and I would ride our bikes somewhere to a park south of us and you would launch rockets. Not only just rockets, but we could catch small frogs and place them in the "space capsule;". Not sure how much of a ride that our little friends had but I do not remember any casualties. Another memory is of Battjes Park where somehow we found a really beat up and leaky row boat that we commissioned and fixed up and took it out of the lake. Also fondly recall biking around sneaking in yards and "c--ning" grapes! What adventure, what danger! What fun! Truly rest in peace Phil Crater and Cary Smallegan.
James DeWitt
Rest in peace, Cary Smallegan, my friend.
