Harold Pierce

Harold Lorrain (Doc) Pierce, Jr. joined his Lord and Savior April 1, 2014 after a courageous battle with laryngeal cancer. Harold was born in Grand Rapids MI on March 12, 1948. In 1968 Harold joined the Armed Services and proudly served in the Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. Following his military duty, Harold spent 30 years with General Motors followed by ten years as a bus driver for Northview Public Schools. Harold is survived by his loving wife since 1973, Kathy Ann (McKelvey) and their children, Kyle (Emily) Pierce, Jason (Crystal) Pierce, as well as their grandchildren, Caden, Colby, Trenton and Sophia. Also surviving are Harold's mother, Clara Jane Pierce, his special Aunt Marge Berrevoets; and his sisters, Annette Pierce and Shelly (Ken) Loose; as well as many nieces and nephews. Harold's very dear friend, Ken Krajewski, survives as well. Harold was preceded in death by his father, Harold, Sr. Harold was a family-oriented man who had a special relationship with his grandchildren. He also was an avid golfer and fisherman who enjoyed spending many days with his closest friends at numerous courses and lakes throughout Michigan. He also enjoyed his role as a goal judge for the Grand Rapids Griffins. Lastly, Harold was a proud business owner of Sew-Little-Time Embroidery. Harold will be greatly missed by family and friends.
