If I remember correctly Richard died in a car accident during a trip out West (I think it was to California), and I also think it was not too long after graduation.
Richard was a unique individual - at times a wild and crazy guy. I remember one incident during football practice when we were all in our uniforms for the first time for what was supposed to be a non-contact practice. Richard either threw a body block or tried to do a tackle by jumping in the air and turning horziontally while trying to take down 4 or 5 guys at the same time. That was Richard.
Anyway - he is missed along with all the others who are no longer with us.
I agree Stan, I do remember Rich who grew up in our neighborhood and went to godfrey school with us. I remember him in football as he was our right tackle who threw many great block for us running backs. As you said he died way to early. Miss him and the others who are no longer with us.
I went to Calvary church with Richard. i don't remember the date of his death but he was a member of the armed forces at the time of his death He was on leave in California and was involved in a fatal car acident
