Thomas Hofstee VIEW PROFILE

Thomas D. Hofstee, age 73, of Byron Center, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. He proudly served his country in the US Navy. He worked at Keeler Brass for 28 years. Tom was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Tom was kind-hearted and loved to help others. He was a lifelong member of Faith Reformed Church where he served in many ways over the years, from elder to deacon to Cadet leader. He is preceded in death by parents, Randy and Lois Hofstee; father-in-law, Donald Van Slyke; and a special nephew, David Van Slyke. Tom is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kathy; sons, Michael Hofstee, Mark and Alissa Hofstee; five grandchildren, Jacob, Samuel, Bridget, AnnaLynn, and Maxwell; brothers and sisters, John and Cindy Hofstee, Peggy Hofstee, Rev. Donald and Kathy Van Slyke; mother-in-law, Mary Van Slyke; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, April 24 at Faith Reformed Church, 618 32nd St. SW, Wyoming, 49509 with Rev. Bruce Osbeck and Rev. Don Van Slyke officiating. Burial Rest Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 5-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Reformed Church or Medical Team Hospice.
